When you go with a fun guide, kayaking the caves in La Jolla can be lots of fun. I'm sorry you had bad weather and a guide with issues.

I love eating at George's Outdoor Terrace when the sun is setting. Sometimes the diners actually applaud as the sun slides down into the ocean.

Sometime you should enjoy a wonderful Sunday brunch at the Del Coroando. It's pricey, but definitely memorable.

Another really fun thing to do in La Jolla is paragliding. You can do it tandem with an experienced pilot. You sail over the coastline...it's awesome!

I'm glad you came to San Diego but you really have to come when there's better weather!! August to October is nice. La Jolla is very beautiful but Coronado is a lot nicer for tourists. The hotel is gorgeous with a 1940's, romantic feel. Anyways I'm still glad you went to La Jolla. I believe it is one of the most beautiful places in the world but I guess everyone says that about the place they grew up in!
