I rather liked the McQueen collection. They were amped up pieces that parodied 20th century fashion landmarks from Dior, Chanel and his own archives. Take away all the theatrical jazz, they are actually very wearable and gorgeous! Not to mention the wealth of satirical meaning behind the collection. Check out the rest here.
I just have one problem: the make-up. All the models were wearing the identical, weird pasty face, sausage red lip look. He’s probably trying to focus attention on the fashion instead of the model by making them all a white canvas, but is that scary make-up necessary? How can the lovely Lily Donaldson (left) look like THAT? He might as well have hired a bunch of identical robots to for his runway.

Dear BG,
I have recently started up a new blog at therecessionistaspot.blogspot.com that gives pointers to fellow shopaholics on how to save money and manage funds better in these tough economic times. (Please do not confuse me with therecessionista.blogspot.com; two COMPLETELY different blogs!) I was wondering if you might consider telling your readers about my blog to get things going. I’ll be watching the blog!
Sincerely,
The (Other) Recessionista

love the new Mcqueen collection for fall. He is so amazing in his presentation.
I found an amazing boutique in San Francisco that is making their own clothing. It is amazing! http://www.harputsmarket.com/

Those dresses are gorgeous.
From my perspective as a professional makeup artist. I actually like the makeup. I think red lips are unbelievably sexy and anyone who does anything to bring them back has my support. They are pasty though, but I think that adds to the whole avante garde of the fashion.
Keep up with the amazing blogs!

I absolutely love McQueen. His clothes are what fashion is made of because it is moving art, not just fabric. I think with the makeup, he was trying to make the whole production more theatrical than just making the models ugly. John Galliano is world renowned for making the most hideously looking makeup on his models for the production of the show.
